To apply for a Travel Visa, you must fit into one of four categories.
Contributors - For the term, we are not taking national shareholder registrations as of July 1, 2012. This allows us to focus on sorting and reviewing the requests we currently have. The moratorium on new requests will remain in effect till further notice. The Quebec Immigrant Investor Program is exempt from this rule.
Entrepreneurs - At this time, CIC is not considering applying for the federal entrepreneur program. Only requests received before July 1, 2011, will be taken into account. This halt will continue till further notice.
Startup Visa Program - The Startup Visa System is for an international entrepreneur with the capacity, talents, and expertise to open a business in Canada. The construction of such a structure is intended to create new employment in Canada and assist the country's economic prosperity.

The visa's main requirements are as following:
Support from a recognized organization: You must obtain support from a specified organization or company to apply for the Start-up visa. Such a Designated Organization must supply you with a message of approval, which you must submit with your visitor visa.
Language Competence: In either English or French, you must have the appropriate degree of proficiency (CLB 5). Provide a screening test from a reputable organization (e.g., IELTS) with a suitable score in each of the four language abilities: speech, hearing, reading, and writing.
